Southern Colorado Dental Assisting School was created to give students a practical, supportive path into the dental field. Our program is designed for people who want to begin a career in healthcare without spending years in school. Through a focused curriculum and hands-on instruction, students will learn the essential skills needed to assist in a modern dental office. Our goal is to help students gain confidence, real experience, and the training needed to pursue opportunities in dentistry.
A path into dentistry
Our accelerated program allows students to complete their training in just 13 weeks, making it possible to begin a new career in a short amount of time. Classes are structured to provide the essential knowledge and skills of dental assisting while remaining manageable for students balancing work, family, or other responsibilities.

Our goal is to make dental assisting education approachable, practical, and supportive. You'll learn from our experienced team while gaining valuable exposure to the day-to-day environment of a dental practice. Upcoming program start dates will be announced soon. Dental assisting is a hands-on profession, which is why our program focuses on practical training and real-world skills. Students practice the techniques and workflows commonly used in dental offices so they can feel comfortable and prepared in a clinical environment while gaining experience in areas such as infection control and patient safety, dental materials and charting, chairside assisting techniques, radiography and X-rays, and common dental procedures.
